Halloween Post #3: Halloween at Home

Just in time for Thanksgiving, it's the rest of our Halloween pictures! It has been W-I-L-D around here lately, but I want to make sure these get posted. The funny part is, I'm not really into Halloween. I think there are much more important holidays. I'm not sure how we ended up with so many Halloween pictures!

We decided to buy pumpkins for each family member. Jared carved the "parent" pumpkins, but we let Lila paint the "kid" gourds. She was very thoughtful about the whole process...

examine your medium

select your color and slowly make the first stroke

pause to paint your hand
(please note the excitement on Beckett's face)

isn't this how we all prefer to view art?

she tried to paint her face. not good.

don't forget your stem! It's often neglected.

We have some artists in the family!

Halloween night was spent at one of our local churches. They had the most unbelievable set-up and it was open to the public! It was pretty crowded, with most everything geared toward older children. Lila and her friend Anne Grace enjoyed the petting zoo.

She played a little ring toss, did some people watching, then we headed home.

Lila clearly wasn't ready for the festivities to end.
