we decided it was time. So last Friday, we took a family trip to the salon for The Haircut. Since Lila has curly hair, we weren't sure what could be done. More than that, we weren't sure how Lila would behave. It could go either way: she would love the attention and cooperate OR (and more likely), she would panic about someone touching her hair, in a strange environment and throw a fit.
Honestly, it was touchy when we got there. She whined and clung to me at first, but was quickly bought with suckers and cartoons. You gotta do what you gotta do.
Oh yeah, and she had to sit in my lap. Wish I'd put on make-up.
She got a little upset when we started. This is the child I have to practically sit on to cut her toe nails. Lila is not a fan of cutting anything.
She held still for the spray bottle...
...then quickly became enraptured in cartoons. And her sucker.
Eventually we were just getting in her way.
Ten minutes later, we were finished and Lila's hair looked adorable! We only had the back cut and the top trimmed. Let's hope the back catches up with the top and it grows to one length.

So stinking adorable!!!
