Summer Fun

Summer has officially arrived in Alabama and it is HOT! I now understand all the pitying looks I receive when people notice I'm pregnant.

We're trying to stay cool, but active. If we don't get out in the morning, it's just not happening. Last Wednesday morning, we joined two fabulous ladies at the pool. Lila was in heaven, but kept trying to take her goldfish into the water. I'm pretty sure that would be frowned upon.

Thursday, the city of Daphne hosted a fun day at the park. they had animals from a petting zoo, several blow up "bounces" (not sure what they're really called?), crafts, a clown with balloon animals, shaved ice, popcorn, and more. The best part was, it was all free!

We stayed for about an hour and spent most of the time with the animals. Lila wasn't really interested in touching any of them, but she loved to look! We walked around with the ducks for what seemed like hours. There was a donkey who seemed to be fascinated with Lila. He kept poking his head toward her, almost snagging her bow at one point! She wasn't fazed. No love for poor Donkey.

The bunnies, on the other hand.......

The fabulous organizers even thought to bring in a small bounce for the very little kiddos. Lila got in, and sat there. She wouldn't jump, but was perfectly content to explore and watch the other children.

In all honesty, she was perfectly content to just walk around and check out everyone. She is such a people watcher! We had a great morning and a great nap afterward!
