Yesterday was Jared's 32nd birthday. It was a little hectic at first, finishing the deck, spending a few more minutes with Mom and Terry, feeding Lila and all that fun stuff. After Jared finished working, he came in to relax with us and we had a relaxing rest of the day. I cooked everything Jared requested: New York Strip steaks with blue cheese and onion sauce (thank you Pioneer Woman!), roasted broccoli, creamed spinach (Sunny Anderson's recipe is the best), potato and onion tart, wedge salad and garlic bread. It was enough food to feed an army, but we have enjoyed the leftovers today! He also requested his favorite dessert - Dairy queen ice cream cake, but we were entirely too full to cut into it.
Happy Birthday to the best husband, father and friend in the world! We love you more than you'll ever know.
